I wonder if someone can help me! My WMP ver.10 has decide to make the options
in Privacy Tab and Library for connection to the net unavailable for
checking. I have searched all over the net for a solution. I have not changed
any settings manually, it worked with Norton Internet Security 2005 no
problems, which has been suggested as a problem. I can find no setting within
norton that would prevent this. I am networked but it has previously worked
for years. Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Good, very good. It doesn't limit net playback and disabled some very
dangerous and useless features.

Doesn't matter. As long as it's not cleanly uninstalled, it will keep on
fucking up your network stack whatever your settings might be.
Why did you install this remote intrusion software anyway?

Where exactly is your problem?

Thanks Sebastian i will attempt to explain further:

When i insert a CD album WMP ver.10 no longers downloads the track listings
or album information from the net. I can no longer connect to the net via
WMP. The check boxes in options have been disabled so am unable to change. It
makes backing up CD's a long process as i have to manually input the track
listings.

I do not understand your referrence to "remote intrusion software" Do you
mean WMP or Norton?

Many thanks for your help.

Thanks Sebastian. I agree with you regarding not allowing this intrusion
software. My only use for WMP is to back up cds and download the cd album
track listing to save me inputting manually. I'm being lazy, but its annoying
it suddenly removed these features and i would like to understand why and has
removed the option for me to change back. Options are there but are faded and
now not available.

Many thanks for your help
