we have WMP 9.0 for OSX TIGER 10.4.2
as well as QUICK TIME PRO 7 FOR MAC OSX
and REAL PLAYER 10.0 FOR OSX
and FLIP4MAC to boot

i understand WMP is the player for www.netflix.com
but we still can't WATCH PREVIEW for any movies
when we use SAFARI as the browser
we just get a blank white screen with -2012 in the lower left

when we use EXPLORER 5.2 as the browser
PHOTOSHOP CS of all things attempts to launch the trailer
with @player5.asp displayed in DOWNLOAD MANAGER window
an ADOBE PHOTOSHOP error message says:
"could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of
document"
obviously something's wrong with the file helper or protocol helper
or a preference or a plug in setting somewhere
i've uninstalled everything and reinstalled everything possible
i've read the forums and trashed the suspected corrupt files
the companies behind the software + websites don't respond
and i still can't isolate and solve this particular problem
all we want to do is check out some movie trailers
the WMP demo version works fine
REAL PLAYER works fine
QUICKTIME works like a charm when it's an option
but what gives with this WMP situation ???
my software is supposed to be current
yet i'm literally going in circles
seriously anybody got any suggestions ???
i could really use some feedback
but please if you're able to respond
i can only follow precise step-by-step instructions
i'm not a computer wiz like the rest of you guys
frustrated in nyc
thanks again
kurt
