Hi all.
I have 2 windows media server ( win2003 ) in load balancing ( hardaware load
balancing), I want implement a soluzion where each client can view a
streaming ( on demand or live) only after authentication. each user must have
a personal account assigned after registration. Is there a solution with
windows media or any software to do that?

Thanks in advantage!
Simone

out-of-the box is only available solution to use windows accounts to
secure publishing points.

However, if you have Enterprise edition of Windows Server 2003, you can
write your own authentication plugin, ie. in .NET.

Thank you!
Yes I have Enterprise edition of Windows Server 2003. The accounts will be
several ( 2 or 3 hundred) so I think my solutions will be to write a plugin
in .Net. I haven't a developer team to do this so i would buy an
applications.
Do you know some product?

When I was searching, I haven't found any, so I had to wrote it myself.

It works, although it has currently limitation that it can only authenticate
users at beginning of streaming, not in the middle of it.

Basically, if you would not find any other solution, I can provide it to
you. If you're interested, you may send me mail to michal . valasek @
altaircom . net (remove spaces)
