WM DRM Copy Count |

Experts
I m doing some research in WM DRM and have got some insight but there
are some Intriguing question that are still eluding my understanding. I
would appreciate if you experts can explain and if needed give sample.
Lets consider WM DRM 9 and above
1) When DRM License issuer issues license can client be restricted to
make number of copies ?
My Understanding : My understanding was copy count dosent matter as
when media is played lic is aquired and then it can have play count.
Please explain about copy count
2) If it can maintain copy count, how and where does it keep track ?
3) Is license tied to device, if i play my protected media on laptop
and export that license and media file to my desktop can I use the same
lic and media file. If i had play count will it countinue to augment as
I have exported same lic ?
My understanding : It is tied to device but confused as how export lic
works.
4)Is it true statement "DRM protected file can have n number of copies
but when played it will have to be online atleast first time to obtain
the lic and there on it can be offline."
My understanding : Yes
Please confirm my understanding and needed correct it. Thanks in

--- copy count's definition perhaps a bit confuse. Actually, it means number of times to synchonize songs to portable devices/ other medias.
For example, you can use synchonization function in media player 10.

-- It should be stored in some secret place of your local computer but I guess it may be related to MS media player application.Correct me if I am wrong.

What should I found that is when you synchonize songs from media player to portable device, the media player will synchonze a license to the portable device too. The license method is difference when you use various versions of DRM.

At least 4 is incorrect. I mean it realy depends on the Rights settings
for the license, you can enfore the user has to be online for
retrieving the license everytime when they play the file by setting
playcount = 1
