player worked great until yesterday, now i get (%1 is not a valid win 32 application) when trying to watch a vidio, and my kids can not play the music they have downloaded. I have xp pro. I removed media player and then tried to download the new player 9 basic but during download i got message (the apllication or dll c:\windows\ system 32\quartz.dill is not a valid win 32 apllication.
Please, any suggestions to get it back to working????

Hi Dr. Jeff,

If Windows Media Player 9 is not working properly and you're getting an
error message regarding quartz.dll, you may need to install / re-install
Direct X 9b.

sally please help want to install media player before the latest one came out
