unable to stream / controls on top |

Whenever I go to a particular website and click on a streaming video I
have problems. A smaller Internet Explorer window opens
with the control panel for Media Player, but instead of
the video appearing above, and the controls below, a
black box (presumedly where the video should be) appears,
and the controls for Media Player appear within that.
I've tried with several different versions of MP(most
recently v9), IE (currently v6) and even Netscape as well
as making sure all my drivers and codecs are fully
updated. Not sure where to go from here... I'd be
grateful for any help anyone can provide.
