Audio Latency with Multicast Streams |
|
|
I'm deploying multicast programme content to around 250 desktops in several open plan office areas...
I have noticed that whilst each machine can connect and render the content each PC seems to differ slightly when playing back the audio element.
This creates a "carcophany" of sound in the open plan office with some machines playing the audio slightly before others.....
short of giving everyone headphones I'm at a loss as to how to fix this.
Ideally I'd like every PC to playback the audio at the same rate.....
Custom low latecy IP stacks on clients?
server tweaks?
or a proprietary solution $$$$$ such as IP/TV?
any thoughts.
