Multicast or Unicast |
|
|
Hi guys...
I'm a newbei on the WMS and I have some doubts...
The first one is if I can protect my content with multicast...
I read in some articles that the multicast is send to the broadcast,
and the client even hit the server to get the stream, there is a way to
protect this content or I have to use the unicast...
I need a kind of protection without the DRM, I need a protection
like a Ticket Authentication...
And this my second question, what kind of plugins do I need to wirte
to make a ticket authentication with WMS?
I hope you guys can help me
Thanks and Best Regards for all

Once multicast is flowing on your network, any client can listen in. In the
case of Windows Media Player, all it needs is an nsc file to watch the stream.
In other words, the content is not "protected." True protection requires
encryption, which is what DRM provides.
