I am having difficulty in accessing the web via media
player to play files or to find album info. It the latter
case I get the standard error page "The page cannot be
displayed".

I have checked the connection settings under internet
options (through IE Explorer) and turning off my anti-
virus software, neither of which have helped. I suspect
that it is the same issue which is also preventing other
bespoke software I have from accessing the web.

I have now spent hours looking through forums for
assistance & I am desperate to find a solution.

Can anybody help?

Do you have zone alarm or some other firewall ? Or, are you in a
managed network environment (eg at work) where they may not choose to
allow you to use their network resources to run certain types of
programs ?
