Able to play file more then specified |

When using sample pages to package wmv files and setting the play count to 1
the files can be played more then one time. This happens whether I use the
simple or complex procedure. If I set the play count to 2 the player aquires
the license and in checking the properties of the file it says file can be
played one more time. The file will play again and when checking properties
it states a license is required to play this file. Any ideas???

I have a box, material is paper. I put a cookie inside, write "only open
once" one it, open it one time - and, however, I can open it infinitely
often. Any ideas???

Perhaps the problem statement was unclear...sorry for the confusion...
When setting the play count to one does that mean the file can only be
played one time? And setting play count to two mean file can play 2 times?

And pressing the "Set back the last saved state"-button at my virtual
machine GUI means I can play it as often as I want, no matter what the
counter is set to?
This feature obviously was never correctly implemented, like many other
features that are br0ken by design. So who cares? MSDRM is only good for
distribution, not for useful trial of protecting content from consumers.

No, for a very simply reason: The average customers wants to be able to
burn it to a CD or won't accept it at all. And the average customer is able
to Google, therefore easily finds out that copying to CD an re-ripping will
remove all the DRM-fuckup.
Hint: Data are copyable.

I understand your point.....
Is there any way to copy protect a dvd after the wmv is on it?? I submitted
a inquiry to macrovision a couple days ago but have not heard back....

Well, you could try WMDRM, but it will be broken and the unprotected
version will be available at the P2P network of your preference...
