WM Audio output format ?? |

Hello everybody,
I am new to specific details of the Windows Media Player and therefore I have 2 questions:
1. I cannot determine in which "format" the audiosignal from the Media Player
(while playing a audio file) is transferred to the soundcard? Through which
instances runs the signal?
2. I am wondering if there is any chance to take this output signal and directly
transfer it over a network (for playing it on another pc's soundsystem). I do not
mean streaming in the common sense! Is this even possible? Any suggestions,
how this might be basically realized.
I hope somebody is able to help me with this. Thank you very much in advance!
