TV-like streamming |
|
|
Hello,
I'd like to have a clip (audio and video) streamming from
my home page with the following characteristics:
1. I have multiple videos and want to show one after the
other, sequentially
2. When someone logs in, I don't want to show the video
from the start, I want to show it real-time, as if they
had changed to a new TV channel and started watching a
movie half-way through.
3. Every 2 weeks there will be a new video added (to the
top of the list) and the oldest one will get removed.
I posted a similar question 'Radio broadcast at specific
time', maybe the answer is the same and the only solution
is to have a PC feeding the stream to the media server,
if so I apologize in advance.
Thanks a lot!
Diego

This scenario will require a Windows Media Server:
1. Create a playlist on the server or point it to a directory of videos you
need to show.
2. Create a braodcast publishing point
This is probably the same response you got to your last post as I can't see
any other way of generating a TV like experiance.

Thanks,
Any tips on how to estimate requirements for the
hardware, or any companies that offer this service?
Thank you,
Diego
