I recently purchased a powerbook G4, with tiger. Updated the OS, loaded WMP
9 but can't get it to play asx streaming file. I've tried the delete pref
files, typing the url with mms:// but no luck. One funny thing is that I
could not locate the .plist file that I've read in other threads. I loaded
VPC 7 to the machine and xp pro. I'm able to get the same streaming file to
work but at very slow speed. Please tell me that this is not the only way to
get streaming media to work on my new mac.

Hey jae,
Have you tried Itunes?

iTunes doesn't support mms://
It'd be interesting to know exactly what happens when you paste the
mms:// link in the Open URL command in WMP...
