Install of Windows Media 9 always fails |

I downloaded windows media player 9 for os x. I unstuffed it and have the
install file. While running the install it fails everytime saying "an
unexpected error occured while installing" and then it lists a file...each
time the fils listed is different and it tends to fail at different lengths
into the install. I am running OS X 10.3.9 What is wrong and how can I get
this to install?

Do you have the latest version of Stuffit expander ?? If not, it will
corrupt the installer often resulting in this type of problem.

Yes I do have to newest verson, which I believe is 9. I uninstalled what I
had and downloaded another version just to check and it still had the same
problem.

Do you have the latest version of Stuffit expander ?? If not, it will
corrupt the installer often resulting in this type of problem.

I thik it's 9.0.2
Anyway, try to download WMP through http://www.versiontracker.com
Last time I tried they redirected me towards a link for a .bin file
which myight be easier to de-compact.

download an sitx file. So I still can't get it to work.

Weird. It still leads me to a .bin
Go to this page:

(careful about the carriage return) and the download should be .bin
there.

I don't know what carraige return means, but when I download from there it's
still a .sitx. I'm not sure what the heck is going on here.

When you paste a long link, it gets broken after 80 characters or so by
a carriage return (same as if you press the Return key).
Anyway, I don't understand why I still get a .bon file when I do the
same :-\
Try dragging the icon of the new file to Stuffit Expander. If it still
doesn't work, re-download it once again from a different web browser
(you could have a corrupted download cache).
