Hi,

Here's a issue we are facing with Player 10. we are using Activex Controls
built on Format SDK 9.0 to Package DRM content. The files are protected on
the content owner's system which may be Win XP, 2000, 95. The end users can
have either Media pLayer version 9 or 10.

The system works fine if the content owner's sytem has Media player 9
installed,
end users with both Media Player 9 and 10 can get a license and play the
media.

If the content owner's system(where files are protected )has Media Player 10
installed, end users who try to play the file with Media Player 9 get the
error
"Windows Media Cannot play the file becuase it is damaged or Corrupted"
error C00D11C5

Is this a issue with Media Player 10? Is there a workaround/fix for this?
As far as I am aware DRM V10 has not chaged anything in the protection of
files.
In anycase the Format SDK 9.0 is used to package these files with the
exception that Player 10 is installed on the system. This corrupts it for
playbacl on Media Player 9? Can someone give pointer as to what could be
going wrong here.

Thanks in advance
