issuing license silently for Windows Media player 10 |
|
|
Hi,
Before WMP 10, i was issuing silent license on anykind of Player than
7 when they have checked the "prompt me automatically my license". I
try the WMP 10 i issue non silente licence as before and it works,
when i use the silente way, it doesn't work, it prompts me the
licenses (a lot of letters and numbers) in the small popup.
What should i change to make it work? Where is the problem.
Thank you for helping me.
Regards

Hello.
What are you using to get license? Asp, Asp.Net etc.? Are you using
pre-delivery model? I have many problems with drm but silent licensing
acquisition works correctly in any cases.
Player asks the license and if it can't understand license (ie with license
you send to it html tags from page), than it asks again and represents the
response as a page.
So, if you can't give license to player first time, than it assumes that you
use non-silent model (I may be not completely accurate in details but in
general this is right).
Try to save your response (get it from browser or log it completely on
server) and analyze what happens.
Also note that you must create _new license_ each time your previous license
is expired (I mean that you can't send the same license twice).
