Trying to understand licensing |
|
|
Over time I've loaded a handful of the 200+ music CDs I have purchased onto
my computer(s). Now when I try to play them I get an error saying the some
license is expired, giving no real explanation what that means, and taking me
to a Microsoft website that says it cannot help me fix the problem, but that
I should go to a newsgroup and ask someone there (which I guess is here). Is
it now necessary that I get a license to play my "legally purchased" music on
my computer(s) using Windows Media Player? Moved my protable CD player out
of the office thinking I'd just play my music on my computer, but now after
an hour of wasted time trying to play what I loaded into the Media library,
and finding no direct or good answers to fixing this situation, looks like
the CD player will have to come back.....or at least should use one of the
other computers that do not have Microsoft op systems on them. Is there a
quick fix to this licensing error/playback situation or can we look forward
to more inconvienences like this?
