Download Obj w/ 3rd Party AutoResume Tools |
|
|
Hi,
We really liked the getRight technology for downloading w/ autoresume.
It works fine when there is a physical file on the server
(videos/video.wmv), however, when using the reHeader object to stream
the download, the 3rd party software is unable to auto resume the
file.
This is what happens :
----------------------
File Size = 10MB
Stream 2MB --> PAUSE (Getright) OR EXIT --> RESUME
----------------------
So the end result will be 12MB, the initial 2MB + 10MB again. To make
things worse, the first 2MB of the WMV is still functional, but it
displays a corrupt file error at the 2MB mark. I've tried various
combinations
----------------------
objDownload.ForceCompleteDownload = FALSE
----------------------
Still no luck. Anyone have any ideas ? If the file is received in
one shot, it works perfectly. Is there any MIME type setting that
could make this work ?

Hi,
it seems that this task is imposible to do (now) using reHeader object
because it doesn't support http ranges. Hope, that this will be fixed ...some
time...
