How would one go about doing this? So far this is the asx code that I have.

<asx version="3.0">

That leads to an MP3 file - what does it have to do with
visualisations ? Maybe you should state what "this" means ?

I see (I think), well any audio file should result in visualisations
if you have them switched on, I can't think of a reason why an MP3
file started from an ASX playlist should be any different.

If you go to the menu in media player, View->Visualisations, is "No
Visualisation" at the top the selected one ? You can choose from the
list, eg Ambience then Naiagara for example.

You would think that would be possible, but for some reason that option is not on the menu, all i have is play;pause;volume ect. And by the way here is the code on my page that links to the asx file above.

<div id=vpdiv><a href='http://www.myspace.com/jizzmasterxer0'><embed allowScriptAccess="never"name='RAOCXplayer' src='http://t8thi3sthaq3rt.125mb.com/euphoria.asx' type='application/x-mplayer2' width='300' height='300' ShowC..'1' ShowStatusBar='0' loop='true' EnableC..'0' DisplaySize='0' pluginspage='http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/Downloads/Contents/Products/MediaPlayer/'></embed></div><font style='font-size: 10pt;'></font></a><font color="..FF0000"><br /><strong><I>EuPhoRiA PrOjEct - EcStAsY - 12 <br /></a></strong></I>

Somewhat oddly, that "No Vis" doesn't work in embedded mode. You have to use
the Null Viz to get that effect.

Sorry you've completely broken the thread. Would think what is
possible ? If your newsreader doesn't support 'threading' please at
least post in the text of what you're replying to ;-)

Is what I was refering to when I said:

And the webpage with is code can be found here:
http://myspace.com/jizzmasterxer0

As of now I have embeded a second window media player playing a mpeg of visualtions, but would realy like to have the visualtions included with wmp to be playing instead.

Or you could use a flash player ...

Well, if you player is embedded and playing an audio file, it should
be displaying any visualisation selected by the user. If they selected
'no visualisation' then the disdplay area will be black.

If you're trying to do what I think you're trying to do (and it's like
getting blood out of a stone, you've never explained in one place)
then it's like this :

==================================================
Embedded media player does not allow you to specify or select a
visualisation through code. It's down to the users option if a
visualisation is played.
==================================================

The only way to change this is to create a SKIN or BORDER for the
player, which gives your code access to the visualisation selections
available. But a SKIN or BORDER can't be used within the player when
it's embedded in a web page.

By the way here is the code on the page that is linked to the asx file, im guessing my problem is here since it is playing mp3's and still no visuals.

<embed allowScriptAccess="never"type="application/x-mplayer2"
pluginspage="http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/MediaPlayer/"
Name="MediaPlayer" src="http://t8thi3sthaq3rt.125mb.com/euphoria.asx"
AutoStart=1 loop="true" ShowStatusBar=0 volume=-1
HEIGHT=45WIDTH=300></embed>

I do know that the width and height are not correct but i changed that since i have a mpeg playing above.

Your page is a terrible mess and you'll have problems debugging it. I
would try this first with a clean, new HTML page to debug - currrently
it's throwing javascript errors.

Now you've finally posted some code we can get somewhere. The code
above is starting the old media player (version 6.4) which doesn't
*have* visualisations. So you need to make it start media player 7 or
later. This code will do that :

<object id="MediaPlayer"
classid="clsid:6bf52a52-394a-11d3-b153-00c04f79faa6"
type="video/x-ms-wma" width="352" height="328">
<param name="autostart" value="true" />
<param name="url"
value="http://t8thi3sthaq3rt.125mb.com/euphoria.asx>" />
<param name="uimode" value="none" />
<param name="windowlessvideo" value="true" />
<object id="MediaPlayer2" type="video/x-ms-wma" width="352"
height="328" data="http://t8thi3sthaq3rt.125mb.com/euphoria.asx">
<param name="filename"
value="http://t8thi3sthaq3rt.125mb.com/euphoria.asx" />
<param name="showcontrols" value="0" />
<param name="animationatstart" value="0" />
<param name="transparentatstart" value="1" />
<param name="showaudiocontrols" value="0" />
<param name="showtracker" value="0" />
<param name="showdisplay" value="0" />
<param name="showstatusbar" value="0" />
</object>
</object>

Using this code..

<object id="MediaPlayer"
classid="clsid:6bf52a52-394a-11d3-b153-00c04f79faa6" type="video/x-ms-wma"
width="300" height="328">
<param name="autostart" value="true" />
<param name="url" value="http://myurl/song.wma" />
<param name="uimode" value="mini" />
<param name="windowlessvideo" value="true" />
</object>

How do I get it to loop?

I tried adding:
<param name="loop" value="true">

but it had no effect.
Thanks.
