Hi,

While trying the samples given in the WMRM SDK, I followed the
quickstart guidelines and was able to package a media file. I am also
able to generate and acquire the license for the packaged file. The
license server used is the sample's simple.asp.

While playing the packaged media file, the player is able to acquire
the license but throws a message
- The audio codec identified by the format tag 130 is required to play
this file.

Please note that the original unpackaged media file plays just fine. I
have the publickey, seed and other relveant values, as suggested, in
global.asa. I verified that the public key and the key id in the
license created is consistent with the packaged file. I enabled the
security setting of the browser to prompt for unsigned codecs. I did a
clean-up of the DRM folder and tried, but the codec error couldn't go.

I am using Windows Media 9 player, and Windows 2003 server. I think
there is a problem with DRM stuff since the player is able to play the
file before packaging and isn't after acquiring the license and
possible decryption using the license. Am I thinking in the correct
direction?

Any help on this issue is very much appreciated.

Regards,
HK
