DRM Questions |

I just recently started buying songs for download and I am running
into problems. Some questions I have are -
1 - When you download a file and get a license, can you rename the
file or edit track tags and still have the license work?
2 - I recently bought some songs (wma format) from Walmart and could
not edit the track tags. Something about it being a secure track...
While the file name has the song title correct, the track tag is
wrong. Can this be changed?
3 - Is there a limit on how many times a license can be backed up and
restored? For example, you download and store your music on computer
A. The license allows you to use play the music on two computers,
burn X CD's and transfer it to portable devices. To play the music
on my Laptop, I must backup the licenses, copy them to the laptop &
restore them. This also allows me to copy the music to my PPC via
WMP. If I download a couple of songs a week and go through this
routine weekly, some licenses will be backed up and copied countless
times -- however, I am only playing the music on two computers.
4 - Is there someplace where all of this license stuff is explained
in layman's language?
5 - How does the license track compliance? For example, what happens
when I go to replace one of my computers? What steps must I take to
ensure I can move & play my music?
TIA - Tom
