Sony Atrac3 and WMA protected files |
|
|
Hi,
I'm buying music on the internet. I live in Canada. We can buy here in
Canada only the WMA files, which are protected with the DRM stuff. Now, I
do have a Sony ATRAC3+ player (which plays MP3s, regular CDs and ATRAC
files). Sony Connect store delivers ATRAC files only to US residents. In
Canada, they use Puretracks.com which delivers WMA files. Now, WMA files
cannot be read directly by my player and they are not converted easily into
ATRAC files. I have to make a "regular" "wav" CD, then concert it into
ATRAC. Lots of processing which ends up in results not as good as if I
could play directly the WMA files.
Anybody knows how I can transfer my WMA files (legally purchased) directly
to my portable Sony DNF611 (in the US, it's the DNF610)? I have Win98 SE.
All the help you can provide with this issue will be appreciated.
