can i build a myself license server |

Setting Up Windows Media Rights Manager 10 SDK,I must obtain a certificate from Microsoft to run Windows Media License Service and issue licenses.
what is use of the certificate that from Microsoft ? how could change this certificate expire?could I build a myself license services ,that I can setup myself certificate in issue licenses server.

I'm alo interested in this exact subject as well.. I'd welcome feedback
from MS on how to get started. Some of the documentation is not that clear!

The certificate is used to verify the authentication of your license server.
After it expires you need to request a new certificate from Microsoft. As a
security feature the license server will only recognize certificates signed
by Microsoft.
Just go to http://licenseserver.windowsmedia.com and follow the
instructions.
The license server will only install on Windows Server 2003 as another
security feature.
