Re: Dangerous licens |

A DRM license is a blob of data that tells the media player's DRM subsystem
the "business rules" of how you can play the file. For example it may say
that you can play the file only 5 times or that it expires after a certain
date. Such licenses pose no harm to your machine.
Some providers will configure their content files to use "silent license
acquisition" so that the user is not told that the player is going over the
net to get a license. This is to prevent interruption of playback such as
popping a window saying that it is going to fetch a license for each piece
of content in a playlist.

installed. Scary as I don't got any question. To my
questions. Can a licens do any harm? Or can I be charged
for it? |
