I can't figure out how or if I can burn mp3 files or convert from wma so I
can fit more songs on my cd's I drive truck so the less I have to mess with
my cd player the better any ideas or helpful suggestions out there?

WIth WMP 10 you can rip to MP3.
But for the same sample rate you get smaller files with WMA. So you can
fit more onto a CD

I thought it was the other way around I can only fit 12 songs with wma and
I'm supposed to be able to fit 12 hours with mp3 from what someone else told
me.

You're getting the letters confused ... WMA is a compressed
format, however, you are probably thinking of WAV that is the
normal format you would extract from a CD -- typical song in
WAV format is about 30-40 megs. MP3 would be more like 3
