DRM Predeliver License problem |
|
|
I'm using irmgetlicense::GetLicenseFromURL to predeliver a license to a
machine for playing DRM Encrypted content. Everything works fine. However,
when I play a piece of encrypted media on a machine with the license, there
is a notable delay and it is slightly choppy the first 5 seconds or so.
When looking at process viewer it can be seen that the windows media player
(started with the Encrypted video) takes up 99 percent of CPU for the first
3-5 seconds or so when it is launched and playing video. When playing the
same video Non-Encrypted, the CPU spikes to 99 percent for just a second and
comes right back down - the playing is smooth and not choppy the first 5
seconds. Decrypting with the license on the machine appears to be causing
the delay. Please - has anyone come across this before? Any suggestions to
fix the choppy delay? I cannot just upgrade my machine to a faster
processor (wish I could) to fix the problem. Thanks!
