RE: Uneditable Playlist-List |

Ok, now this is a frustrating one.
I've been annoyed by this fact for so long, I decided to do something about
it. I tried searching the registry but came up with nothing, till your post
twigged the idea in my mind that the playlists are arranged in the menu you
mention by date created.
So it stands to reason that a simple way to re-arrange the playlists is to
do the following:
1) close media player (just in case)
2) locate playlist files (should be in your music folder in a sub-folder
called "My Playlists". Or search for *.wpl in explorer.)
3) find playlists which you no longer want at the top of this list, select
them, then copy and paste the files into the same directory
4) delete the original files
5) rename the copies to have the same names as their original (ie, delete
the "Copy of" out of the file name
This should have the effect that the file created date of these playlists
will be updated to the present, so the more important playlists are now
"older" and hence displayed higher up the queue.
Hope that was clear and simple enough!

When you click Open Playlist from the drop down list on the right...
A list of the very first play lists you ever opened appears...
I want to edit this list.
How can I do this?
The current "first playlists ever created" list is pretty useless..
should be ranked more on which play lists are played more often. |
