Realplayer profile edit corrupts media files |
|
|
Tried encoding files, realised file order was wrong in realplayer. My fault!
Edited the profile or something like (too many beers when you need a straight
head) found the files got corrupted and wouldn't play in anything. Tried fix
wmv, downloaded all the free & trial apps i could find and they still
wouldn't do it! I know it isn't Microsofts fault but it is an end user issue.
Looked for apps to see if i could fix the file header, no joy! Tried
microsoft encoder file editor, still no joy. I knew the header was corrupt.
Didn't want to get into HEX editing & thought there has to be an easier way?
Mediaplayer doesn't seem to record profile"aurthor, artist, filename" changes
back to the original file which is cool if you don't have to reload them but
i like my files in order & i'm still playing around with what i consider the
best player apps. Could you please inform or at least tell the other off if
they start corrupting wmv files. I'm asking microsoft out of respect (creep,
creep) let's not have more media wars it's hard enough working in AV as it
is!
Thanks

Yes, but primarily a Real Networks end-user issue. Have you checked
their support forums?

I can barely understand what you're writing. Maybe I should have studied
James Joyce....
