Rio 800 supported in WMP 10?? |
|
|
I just tried to add some music to my older rio 800 and WMP 10 does not detect
the device, however Win XP Pro SP2 sees it when attacthed vis usb. It also
shows up in device manager. I checked for new drivers and there was nothing.
Any ideas on what is going on? I worked fine with the last version of WMP.
thx

Is it not possible to simply use windows explorer to copy the files
over ? You said it was recognised by XP, right ? So it should appear
as a removable storage device in windows explorer ?

XP sees it in device manager, not in windows explorer. I tried removing the
driver from DM as well as reinstalling WMP 10. Still not working...

So I shared the My Music directory on the desktop machine (one that wmp 10 is
not seeing the rio 800) and went to my laptop, running xp pro sp2 with wmp 10
and scanned the folder for music files, then copied files using the laptop
wmp 10 to the rio. I am at a loss on this one. ..
I deleted the rio driver from Device Manager then reinstalled WMP 10 and the
problem still presists. |
