Hello,

Is it possible to get windows media server for another OS than windows
server 2003? (for example XP) and if yes where can it be downloaded
(freely and legally of course) ?

Hi Da,

Windows Media Services ships for free with Windows 2000 Server and 2003
Server. Microsoft Windows Media Services 4.1 is built into it Windows 2000
Server and Microsoft Windows Media Services 9 is built into Windows 2003
Server.
