get plagued with another upgrade to see how others like it first..i have to
spend all day putting all my music and work on disk just so i can refortmat
my hard drive to get this 10 crap off of here ..and microsoft wants me to pay
$99.00 for them to help me remove they're wmp 10 update..heck you can not
even uninstall this nasty bug called wmp 10..and do not reply asking about my
computer being up to date unless you consider a year old 2 gig pentum 4 with
pure chip sets and around 800 mb of ddr ram out of date..if 9 is working fine
for you keep it..and i wish microsoft would stop doing stuff like this with
out driver warnings or instuctions to uninstall this kind of stuff...i will

I now have a vhs tape converted over to a DVD...it will run on 5 different
brands of dvd players...however; it will not run with Windows Media Player
10...even through my computer which is a Pent 4 with 1 gbt ram and an Asus
P4C800 Deluxe motherboard and an ATI All In Wonder Radeon 7500 video card
with updated drivers. Using and older version of Cyberlink's PowerDVD which
came with my Sony burner, it runs fine on the computer. Using a MS Windows
XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility, it determined that the Cyberlink decoder
was not compatible with Media Player 10 and that I should update it. Checked
for update, and there was one...Cost me $19.95 with MPEG 3 update. Installed
and now utility says it is compatible. Guess what....video will not play
with Media Player 10...STILL WORKS WITH POWERDVD! 9 was far less problem...I
am now going to use PowerDVD and may NEVER use Media Player 10. NOTE: To
remove it, go to add/remove programs. If Media Player 10 is not listed...go
to the top and check-mark box: "SHOW UPDATES". That should show it listed.
You should now be able to remove it. I may do the same and then reinstall 9.
I have used MS products since 1984...I owe stock in the company...I AM SO
TIRED OF THEIR PROBLEMS I AM SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING MOVING OVER TO A MAC-G5
with Linux. There is just no excuse for what is going on with MS and to
exacerbate the problem, you download their newest and greatest and it turns
out to be a mess; then they want to charge you to correct it. There is
something wrong with this picture.

Maybe you can explain this to me, because I never understand. If you are
not happy with a product why do you use it? if I was not happy with Windows
XP I would quickly switch to me Fedora Core 3 box.
In addition, your beef is with Cyberlink. It's their decoder that is acting
up (Or most likely a another decoder confusing DirectShow)
