hi,
got some trouble to get a push transmission working.
I am using win 2003 server standard edition, disabled ACL for anonymous clients, defined a push publishing point "push1". Encoder is located in corporate LAN, and sends push stream to server which is in same LAN, but behind a firewall (ports 80 and 1755 open) and does not share the same DNS.

When applying settings setting in encoder authentication works fine (but make sure you disable the proxy in browser when connecting to media server), then a "Not able to detect publishing point type" alert is dislayed. When starting encoder
"The network connection has failed; code 0xC00D0029" and "No connection established to media server ; code 0xC00D0005" error occurs.

"Pull from encoder" (using http port 8080) and accessing server with player (via port http 80 and tcp 1755) works fine.

Looks like there are some additional ports used to communicate between encoder and server. However, MSDN (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/serve/firewall.aspx#encoder) says, only TCP(HTTP?) port 80 has to be open...

Any suggestions on that?
