Re: Trouble streaming media |

There are many things that could be causing you problems. I don't
know much about Rich Media presentations, but I'll take a few shots
here.
Your video does stream...eventually. It takes a few minutes of black
and no counter change or slide bar movement, but eventually, video
shows up and all works well. Your slideshow works as well. I did
notice that you are HTTP streaming, and that could be one source of
your problems. Windows Media is best served from a windows media
server with the MMS or RTSP protocol. I'm no expert, but MS has
articles explaining the difference. From what I understand, this may
be causing your delay in playback.
But, when I enter your .asx link:
http://www.icmif.org/2k4video/paris2003/videos/Mike%20Happe/0Media.asx
directly into my browser, windows media player opens and indicated
that the clip is "playing" much sooner than video actually shows up.
This may indicate a problem with your playlist. Do you have anything
setup to play before your presentation.
Those are my best guesses. If that doesn't help, reply with more
detailed information of your setup and what you're trying to do.
