multiple Static IP's on server running IIS and WMS |
|
|
My server
intel xeon motherboard with 2 NIC'
MS Server 2003 Enterprise Ed
I am trying to run both IIS and WMS on my server
I had that running well with one static IP and port forwarding properly from my router. I had fixed the typical port 80 conflict by changing the port for WMS
However, people at their place of business can't see the video where their firewall blocks anything except port 80
Friends without "blocking" firewalls are able to see the video fine. (live streaming video by the way
So I thought I should get a second static IP and run WMS through my second NIC with the second IP on port 80. I have tried to do this. Help files seem to explain that this is possible. But, I am still having trouble. Is there anything I should know, like it is impossible to do, or there is an easy fix, etc....? Has anyone ever done this

Have you checked the WMS Admin help doc. section titled:
To add IP addresses to resolve port 80 conflicts
That topic should help you resolve conflicts between IIS
and WMS (if that is what is the problem you are running
into).
Hope this helps.
