Situation
Windows Server 200
Windows Media Server on port 80 (conflict with IIS resolved by adding an ip address (a bogus ip address) to the IIS and dis-associating the actual ip address from the IIS. I have only one LAN Card on my machine. I also use WM Encoder 9. I have a live broadcast from a publishing point and the connection link is like this: hhtp or mms://server/publishing_point it works fine for both mms and hhtp. in both instances the end-user's WM player is launched upon clicking on the link and the content (pre-recorded songs) are streamed
Question 1:
I tried to connect to my print server of IIS, it did not work. I guess because the port 80 is used by the media server. Considering that I have only one NIC, would I be able to assign a port other than the 80, to IIS so I would not deprive myself from the IIS services? If so, how can I change the port number for the IIS.
Question 2:
On Media Server and the Encoder, can I relay from another live broadcast on the internet if I knew the exact url of the broadcast? This broadcast is also on .wma format and is played on wm player. If so, how can I schedule a relay for a specific time and duration
Question 3
any suggestion for a reliable, yet economical, radio automation program
Thanks
